At Polymed, sustainability is an integral part of our day-to-day operations in our mission to build a healthier world. As a responsible corporate entity, we recognize the importance of environmental stewardship and responsible business practices.
This commitment is reflected in the fact that most of our manufacturing facilities are ISO 14001:2015 certified, with plans to extend this certification across all of our plants.
Our sustainability efforts align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring that our products, partnerships, and operations contribute to a positive, lasting impact on the planet and future generations.
Our efforts in energy management include adoption of renewable energy sources such as solar power, wherever possible. Adopting cleaner technologies to minimize air and water pollution, digital initiatives to reduce paper consumption and consolidating shipments are some of the ways we have reduced GHG emissions.
Our approach entails comprehensive strategies aimed at reducing, reusing and recycling various waste such as electronics, paper, cardboard, metal, plastic and glass. Hazardous waste is meticulously disposed of through authorised vendors. To minimise waste generation, we have embraced paperless manufacturing through digital drawings in production and assembly.
At multiple manufacturing sites, we have embraced practices such as rainwater harvesting and sewage treatment plants for water recycling and reuse. We have also employed smart metering to monitor water usage and identify opportunities for further efficiency improvements.
We focus on incorporating innovative yet recyclable materials from renewable in our product packaging. By collaborating with suppliers, we source recycled/recyclable materials. Our packaging material complies with regulations such as ISO 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 as well as directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste.
